Baby shoes

I was going trough my drawers and found my shoes that I wore when I was a baby. Aren’t they cute? No, I wasn’t born in the ‘50s! But they sure look very old and vintage. I’m getting so nostalgic when I look back at my childhood. That is one of the things that are so great to have a child. You get a second childhood!

Here is a poem that I found at Posy. I think I need to read this poem now and then to remember what is important in life…

If I had my child to raise all over again, I’d finger-paint more and point the finger less.
I’d do less correcting and more connecting.
I’d take my eyes of my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I would care to know less and know to care more.
I’d take more hikes and fly more kites.
I’d stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I’d run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I’d do more hugging and less tugging.
I would build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I’d teach less about the love of power, and more about the power of love.

Dont put your vintage shoes back in the drawers! You should keep them on view. So cool!
