Meditation

My daughter and I sometimes play with Hama beads. She have different pegboards shaped like hearts, stars, elephants and so on. One day we did this giraffe but my daughter got bored after just a few minutes. But I got hooked and sat for quite a while… I think it’s so soothing, your thoughts is just wandering and suddenly a half of an hour has passed by. Perfect for meditation.

Butterflies

A while ago I saw this brilliant idea over at Chez Larsson’s blog. I thought it was so lovely and I wanted one for my self. I bought the punch at Papprika Scrapbook. I used various of scrap booking paper for the butterflies. I put adhesive pads on the back of the butterflies to give the hole thing a little height and depth. A 3D feeling so to say. The deep edge frame (RIBBA) I bought at IKEA.

Alphabet Love…

or Love of Alphabet, Letter Love, Love Letter? What do you think I should call this picture I made? It’s gouache on watercolor paper. The size is 50 x 65 cm. There is no frame that has those measurements… it's a bugger! So now I have to order a customized frame, and they are extremely expensive.
But I have learn my lesson so next time I will double check the standard measurements on frames before I throw my self into creativity :-)

Would you consider buying a poster like this? (With the right measurements of course and a reasonable price!)
I’m thinking of order some prints of this alphabet picture.

It’s not a first-class photo, I wanted to scan it but it wouldn’t fit in my little scanner ;-)
I will take some photos when I have framed it and its up on the wall.

Work in progress...

I’m currently having a number of ongoing projects. Sometimes I forget about a project and discover it in a drawer a couple of months later. And sometimes it’s just more fun starting a new project. And then there is the time aspect… I want to do so many things and once in a while I’ll just sit, indecisively, not to know where I’ll be starting.

Home Sweet Home

I made a framed picture out of scrapbooking paper and chipboard alphabet.
I think it got a bohemian feel to it. What do you think? My thought was to have black background but I didn’t have any black paper at home and I wanted to finish it right away. Not wait to the next day, of to the paper store and then home to get it done. (That’s me in a nutshell…) But I think it turned out quite well with that paper that looks like our wallpaper we had in the ’70s, in my childhood.

Name tags

My daughter has vacation from daycare and I from my job. It’s sooooo nice!
I made some name tags for my daughters teachers at daycare. My daughter is starting a new daycare after the summer, so she had some goodbye gifts for her teachers.

Crafty weekend

This weekend has been a crafty one. I have made a couple of granny squares and glued some paper on a little drawer (FIRA) from IKEA. I have it in my crafty little place, I’m not finished with the interior design yet… But soon, very soon!! :-)

Button A

My sister wanted me to make a button picture on a canvas frame to her boyfriend. (Soon to be husband!) His initial is A. I’ve made one for my sister earlier and I think they will have them over their bed. I also made a button picture to my sister-in-law. The button picture is getting popular :-)

Fabric and flowers…

No crafting in a long time. I’m so tired and have no inspiration… But this evening I will take out my sewing machine, even if I’m tired and not feel up to it!! You can’t just sit and wait for inspiration; you just have to do it! So hopefully it will end up with some more elephants with fabric from Mayas old sweaters.



Today I bought this lovely pelargonium (cultivated: geranium).

Happy Easter - Glad Påsk!

This Easter came so quickly that I didn’t understood that it was actually this week! So yesterday some of the Easter decorations was taken down from the attic. I did this card last night, not enough time and yellow buttons to send out to all my friends and family. Last year I did a bunch of cards, maybe I have time to do some cards next year…



I must show you what Maya my daughter made at day-care! Isn’t this little chicken adorable? This is her first Easter craft; she was smiling and looked so proud when she showed it to me :-)

Pink/Purple vs Brown/Orange

My niece’s birthday is coming up and I have made this framed picture with her name on it. She is in a pink/purple period, as she was last year when she turned 8 years old. Who knows when the pink/purple period is ending? Never I hope! I like pink/purple too!

As I wrote (in swedish) in the post about a year ago I was born in the early ‘70s and the color pink didn’t exist when I was a child ;-) It was all brown, orange, green and dark colors…

My sister’s birthday was a couple of months a go but she got her gift from me yesterday… It’s our grandmother’s buttons and laces that I’ve used. My sister’s initial is K.

Button heart

I have made a birthday gift for my sister in law. I’ve glued some buttons on a “deep edge frame” and put a bit of lace on it. The lace belonged to my sister in laws grandmother. I will do one for my daughter too, with my grandmother’s buttons. I think it’s nice to recycle old things and use them in a new way.

Price tags

I’m about to sell some of the things I’ve made, and I want to do my own price tags. But I’m not sure what they would look like. Maybe something like this? What do you think?
