Ripple blanket
I’ve started to crochet a ripple blanket. First I thought I would crochet one for our bed. But then I looked at it… wasn’t the bed really big? Could I really pull this of? My self-confidence started to wobble… So I decided to go for a smaller version, a blanket for the couch. You know, the blanket you have when you are cuddling up with a cup of tea and a good book.
Pozy Gets Cozy, one of my favourite bloggers have crochet such a beautiful ripple. And don’t even get me started on her craft room…!

No, it’s an elephant!
Is it a anteater? That is a question that I heard a number of times the last couple of days… I have crochet this elephant for my niece who is almost 5 months old. I gave it to her as a Christmas gift. It is a grab friendly elephant because of its very long trunk… And it doesn’t eat ants!!

More mushrooms!
I’ve tried to get some good photos of my crochet mushrooms but it has been so dark the last couple of days. Today it’s raining and we haven’t seen the sun for ages. I usually don’t let the weather get to me, but this is driving me crazy! I want light, I want snow!! I guess I can light some candles and have a nice cup of tea, get cosy
in the couch with a book or my crochet hooks and my yummy yarn. I think I will do that!

Crochet Mushroom
Today I have crochet a little mushroom. It was a bit tricky at first, but when you get hang of it, it was quite easy. I really like mushrooms and at flickr I’m member of a group pool called Mushroom Mania. So many cute mushrooms there!
The fabric behind the mushroom I think I will use to sew some mushrooms. I’m just waiting to get my sewing machine back from service. The poor little thing that is nearly thirty years old needed some professionally care…
(Is there a friendly soul out there who have a pattern for a fabric mushroom to spare or know where I could find some?)

Work in progress...
I’m currently having a number of ongoing projects. Sometimes I forget about a project and discover it in a drawer a couple of months later. And sometimes it’s just more fun starting a new project. And then there is the time aspect… I want to do so many things and once in a while I’ll just sit, indecisively, not to know where I’ll be starting.

It’s a girl!
Here she is, the little miracle, in aunties crochet blanket!
And of course you must have a little picture that shows your beautiful name!

My first granny squares!
Oh, I’m so proud of myself! I’ve finally learnt how to do granny squares. It is so much fun! I think I maybe got an addiction… I want to crochet all the time! This is going to be a blanket for my sister’s baby. The baby isn’t expected until early August so I have a few months to get it ready. And I can tell you that I need that time!

I’m learning how to crochet!
I bought this book at the big book sale we have in Sweden in February. So far I have learnt how to crochet in ripple technique. It’s difficult to read the pattern when you never have done it before. I would never have pulled it of if it wasn’t for my mother in-law. It’s nice to have someone to ask and who can show you how it’s done!

I want to learn how to crochet!
When I first saw this picture I got a flashback! It reminded me about the afternoons at my grandmother. She taught me how to crochet. But now I don’t remember how to do it… It’s so sad. I made potholders and they looked something like the scarf on the pictures (I think they are called “granny squares”). I really want to learn to crochet again. I really want to do that scarf! Do you have some tips on blogs, websites or books about crocheting? Please leave a comment on this post. Thanks!
