Christmas stocking

I’ve updated my shop with a Christmas stocking.

Yesterday the first snowflakes arrived and I hope it is going to be a white Christmas this year!

Work, work, work

and no play…

A couple of weeks ago I started a new job. And now I don’t have any time to craft! I’m so tired! I think most of you know what I’m talking about… Hopefully I get used to it soon and have a little bit more strength to pull my self together to craft something! So please have patience with me, I know I’m not blogging as often as some of you.

The only one in my family who is crafty at the moment is my daughter. Look what she made! Ohhh you should see how proud she is of this!! (Does anyone know what the English word for this is? In Swedish we call it a “Pärlplatta”)

Shop update

Finally I have updated my shop! Two cute sets with a baby quilt and a stuffed winged heart.

I want to learn how to crochet!

When I first saw this picture I got a flashback! It reminded me about the afternoons at my grandmother. She taught me how to crochet. But now I don’t remember how to do it… It’s so sad. I made potholders and they looked something like the scarf on the pictures (I think they are called “granny squares”). I really want to learn to crochet again. I really want to do that scarf! I’ve got a SHOP!!

Finally I’ve started my own shop at ETSY(hummmlan.etsy.com)! I have thought about it for a long time, I have quite a lot of things left from the Christmas market from last year.

I haven’t so many items in the shop yet. I have to take pictures of everything and hopefully I get around to do it this weekend.

Belle and Boo

Today my print from Belle and Boo arrived, I’m so happy! The print is beautiful! The name of the print is “My Favourite Spot in Spring” and the artists name is Mandy, she is a British illustrator. I bought it for my daughter who was born in the spring. As soon as I have it framed I will show you some pictures! (Look at the cute little stickers I got, just love them!)

A white rose

Last night I made a fabric rose to my mother-in-law as a birthday gift. It was really fun and not so complicated. I got the idea from the book “Tildas hus” by Tone Finnanger. The little pot is actually an eggcup! Underneath the rose I have sewed on a safety pin, so it can be used as brooch or as a decoration on a handbag.

Cross-stitching and a wedding

Yesterday my sister was getting married. It was a beautiful wedding outdoors and the rain held up during the ceremony. My sister’s friend sang and played the guitar, and she sang so wonderful. Unfortunate I had forget my sunglasses at home, I knew I would shed a tear or two… I only bought the sunglasses for that purpose…

The last couple of weeks I have worked on the cross-stitching for my sister and her husbands wedding gift. I embroidered their names and some skulls (my sister has a thing for skulls…;-) ) on some bed linens.

Mayas little corner

Its have been a while since I post anything on the blog… But its summer and there is so much fun to do outdoors! Maya loves to be outside and play, the swings are no 1! I have taken some photos of Mayas little corner in our bedroom. We hope that she will get her own room soon; we are looking for a house to buy.

Next week my sister is getting married and in the evenings I try to get her wedding gift ready… So step by next week and take a peek on what I have made for her and her husband!

IKEA HACKER

IKEA HACKER is a blog where you can send in your hacks that you made on your IKEA things. I got my hack on some IKEA lamps that I changed with some ribbons and small mirrors published on IKEA HACKER. This is a cool blog where you can get tips and ideas how to change your IKEA stuff.

Button A

My sister wanted me to make a button picture on a canvas frame to her boyfriend. (Soon to be husband!) His initial is A. I’ve made one for my sister earlier and I think they will have them over their bed. I also made a button picture to my sister-in-law. The button picture is getting popular :-)

More elephants…

I’ve made three more elephants. And one has ears. Do you think the elephants should have ears or not? Don’t they look a bit “naked” without ears? Please let me know what you think!

Fabric and flowers…

No crafting in a long time. I’m so tired and have no inspiration… But this evening I will take out my sewing machine, even if I’m tired and not feel up to it!! You can’t just sit and wait for inspiration; you just have to do it! So hopefully it will end up with some more elephants with fabric from Mayas old sweaters.



Today I bought this lovely pelargonium (cultivated: geranium).
